A solution to the connectivity problem for
row-column designs

The connectivity problem for row-column designs has received much attention
in the literature in the last thirty years. This problem is described and
its design implications are discussed. It is shown that disconnectivity is
due to particular forms of treatment allocation and this result is used to
suggest a strategy for determining by inspection whether a given row-column
design is connected or not.
