I am a PhD student jointly with the School of Biological Sciences and the Department of Computing Sciences at Royal Holloway, University of London. My subject area is Bioinformatics and I have recently submitted my thesis titled “On the effects of large-scale transcriptomics datasets on gene functional analyses”. My project was supervised by Dr. Alberto Paccanaro in computer science and Dr. Alessandra Devoto, Prof. Dr. Laszlo Bogre and Prof. Dr. Peter Bramley in biological science.

 

 

Research interests:

Gene expression data analyses including Microarrays and RNA-seq

Gene functional analyses by applying data mining techniques such as clustering and building gene interaction graphs.

Gene regulatory and metabolic pathway elucidation

Gene Ontology and its applications in functional analyses

 

Other interests:

(terribly) amateur photography, hiking and also the business of science.
