TCS social events and tours

Join TCS and see the world! The choir likes to travel, and aims to embark on a foreign trip once every two years. Past highlights include a visit to Paris in 1992, and on two occasions we joined up with the Whitehall Choir to visit Dieppe. In April 2000 we enjoyed a highly successful trip to Prague, where we sang a selection of unaccompanied English music in four stunningly beautiful venues.

In July 2000 we performed the world premiere of Paul Spicer's Easter Oratorio in the Lichfield Festival, and later performed it again in Ely Cathedral.

Our next trip (Easter 2002) was to Hungary where we sang at the famous Matthias Church in Budapest as well as the magnificent cathedrals of Eger and Esztergom. Here are some pictures taken on the summit of Castle Hill in Pest:

Following that we visited Barcelona in April 2004. Venues included the beautiful monastery in the astonishing mountain town of Montserrat (see virtourist.com for pictures).

In April 2006 we visited Istria in Croatia, and had a wonderful reception from some very appreciative audiences. Here are some of the best pictures, and Brian Skinner has produced a complete slideshow.
