About Twickenham
Twickenham is a smallish town situated on an attractive stretch of the River Thames just west of London (that's the big London in England, not any of the other Londons). It is at least 900 years old and has been the home of many well-known people, including the poet Alexander Pope.
Afficionados of the game Rugby Union are familiar with the town because the Rugby Football Union Headquarters is situated there.
